Privacy policy

The short version. We use what you type on our website to connect you with a licensed insurance agent who calls you with a quote. We don't sell your information for money. We share it with the agent assigned to you, the insurance company if you apply, the services that run our website and phones, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure and improve our ads. We never share your health or budget answers with Meta. You can ask us to stop contacting you or delete your information at any time.
1. Who we are
Truckers Protection Group ("TPG," "we," "us") is a marketing name used by a group of independent licensed life insurance agents to connect CDL drivers and other workers with those agents. TPG is not an insurance company. It does not issue policies or make coverage or underwriting decisions. Quotes, applications and policies are handled by the licensed agent assigned to you and the insurance company that issues the policy.
This policy covers truckersprotectiongroup.com, its forms, and the calls, texts and emails that follow when you ask for a quote. Once you apply for a policy, the insurance company's own privacy notice also applies to what you give them.
2. What we collect
What you give us
- Contact details: first and last name, mobile number, email (optional), state and ZIP code.
- Quote details: date of birth, what kind of driver you are or your occupation, how often you renew your DOT medical card, what matters most to you in a policy, the monthly amount you'd like to put in, when you'd like coverage in place, whether you have life insurance now, and who you want to protect.
- Your consent: that you checked the box agreeing to be contacted, the exact wording version you agreed to, and when you agreed.
- Anything you tell us on a call, in a text, in an email or in a message to our Facebook or Instagram pages.
What we collect automatically
- Your browser and device type, the page you came from, the time you submitted the form, and the ad and campaign details in the link you tapped (for example which ad you saw).
- Ad click and browser identifiers set by Meta's pixel (see Cookies and ad measurement).
- Our website host and the services below may record your IP address and basic technical information to deliver the page and stop abuse.
Some of what you tell us, like how often you renew your DOT medical card, can relate to your health. We use it only to prepare your quote and to point the agent toward products you may qualify for.
3. How we use it
- To match you with a licensed agent in your state and have that agent call you with a quote.
- To contact you by phone, text and email about the quote you asked for, as described in Calls, texts and emails.
- To prepare a quote and, if you choose, an application with an insurance company.
- To keep one agent on your request if you submit more than once, and to catch fake or mistyped phone numbers.
- To measure which ads bring in requests and policies, and to improve our ads and website.
- To keep records that show you agreed to be contacted, and to follow the law and insurance regulations.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here.

Some state laws treat sharing information with Meta for advertising as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" even when no money changes hands. You can opt out as described in Your choices and rights.
5. Calls, texts and emails
When you check the consent box and submit the form, you agree that Truckers Protection Group and the independent licensed insurance agents it works with may contact you about life insurance by call, text and email at the number and email you gave, including with automated technology, as described on the form. Consent is not required to buy anything.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Reply HELP for help.
- Tell the agent on the phone, or email [email protected], to stop calls and emails.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with your request.
- We don't share or sell your mobile number or text consent to third parties for their own marketing.
6. Cookies and ad measurement
Our site uses Meta's pixel, which may set cookies and read identifiers from your browser so Meta can tell us which ads led to a visit or a request. We also send Meta the hashed details listed above from our own systems (this is called the Conversions API) so ads can be measured when cookies are blocked. Our website analytics does not use cookies to track you across sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage how Meta uses information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. To ask us to stop sending your information to Meta for advertising, see Your choices and rights.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Stop contacting you by phone, text or email.
- Tell you what we have about you and who we shared it with.
- Correct information that's wrong.
- Delete your information, except what we must keep by law, such as records of your consent.
- Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising. We don't sell your information for money, and on request we'll stop sending your information to Meta for advertising.
To make any request, email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line and the name and phone number you used. We may confirm your request by calling or texting that number. We'll respond within 45 days, and we won't treat you differently for making a request. Someone you authorize may make a request for you with your written permission. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights, and if we deny your request you may appeal by replying to our answer.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your request details while we're working on your quote and for as long as needed for our business and legal obligations afterward. We keep records of your consent to be contacted for at least five years, because the law allows claims about calls and texts to be brought for several years. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
9. Security
Only the agents and service providers who need your information can see it. Our accounts use two step sign in, and the connection to our site is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us Social Security numbers, bank details or medical records by text or email. Your agent will tell you how to give the insurance company anything like that safely.
10. Children
Our website is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and our form won't accept a date of birth under 18.
11. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will apply only to information collected after the change unless you agree otherwise.
